Trip description

Playa del Cura is one of the most famous urban beaches in Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca. It is located right in the city centre and is easily accessible on foot from surrounding apartments, shops, restaurants and cafes.

The beach offers fine sand, a gentle slope into the Mediterranean Sea and everything needed for relaxation by the water. Thanks to its central location, it is suitable for families, couples and visitors who want to combine swimming with a stroll through the town or sitting in one of the local restaurants.

Along the beach runs a popular promenade with palm trees, benches, cafes and sea views. It is ideal for a morning stroll, watching the sunrise and evening relaxation in a pleasant Mediterranean atmosphere.

From Playa del Cura you can continue on foot along the coast towards the natural sea pools, the marina and the centre of Torrevieja, or in the opposite direction towards Playa de Los Locos. All these places are connected by a pleasant coastal promenade.

Practical tip

During the peak summer season, Playa del Cura is among the most visited beaches in Torrevieja. If you want to find a good spot close to the sea, we recommend arriving in the morning hours. Before swimming, always check the colour of the safety flag currently flown.
